“Occupy the Hood.”  
Thats it. I guess when folks have to start what some have termed a “splinter movement,” it is reflective of something that need be addressed in the larger scheme of movement building, no?
Splinter’s happen because some stakeholders’ needs aren’t being met.  The hood (every hood) is no less relevant than the recognized city centers.  Wall Street is no more pertinent than Jamaica Blvd.  14th and B’way is no more relevant than 40th and Adeline, Fruitvale and International Blvds.
Then again, this could also be another one of those “Why are all the black kids sitting together in the cafeteria?” moments.  Everybody knows who  ”the hood” signifies, right?  C’mon now.
